About Us

Welcome to Cedar Tree Cattery — a small, family-run cattery attached to our home in the countryside. We’re Gary and Joanne, a husband and wife team, and we take great pride in providing a loving, professional environment where your cats will feel safe, happy and well cared for during their stay.

This site has a long history of caring for cats — it was previously run as a cattery by the former owners, and before that, the house was gifted to a cat protection charity. We feel very lucky to continue that tradition of love for our feline friends.

We share our home with four of our own much-loved cats:
🐾 Romeo, our wise old gentleman who we rescued as a kitten
🐾 Luna, a sweet Siamese/Ragdoll cross who adores company
🐾 Bertie & Lilly, our playful Ragdoll kittens who keep us entertained every day!

With a 35-year background in healthcare, Joanne brings a wealth of experience in ensuring the well-being and safety of all our guests, with plenty of individual attention for every cat. Gary, a passionate gardener and animal lover, keeps our surroundings peaceful and natural — not to mention looking after our happy flock of 50 rescued chickens and 7 ducks!

We’re both really looking forward to this next adventure together at Cedar Tree Cattery.

Visits to view the cattery are by appointment only (for insurance reasons), so please contact us in advance — we’d love to show you around!

Accommodation

Our purpose-built cattery offers spacious, clean pens — each with cosy bedding, climbing frames, toys, and quiet corners for snoozing.
We believe every cat deserves individual attention and comfort. The pens are designed so your furry friend can stretch, play, or simply relax in a peaceful space.
Everything is kept clean and fresh, so you can be sure your cat will be well looked after.

We recommend booking in advance — especially during busy holiday times. Drop-off and collection times are flexible and will be arranged with you when you book. We aim to respond to all messages as quickly as possible!
